Le 22 septembre des fêtes auront lieu en Valencia. Des veaux (encore des bébés) seront envoyés dans les rues où ils seront attaqués avec des lances de 6-8 cm. Les veaux crient de peur, de douleur, ils ne savent pas où se cacher.
A la fin, ensanglantées, ils seront abattus par des coups d'épée (80 cm) et ceci 40 fois.
Arrêtez cette torture. La phrase en espagnol veut dire qu'on ne visitera plus l'Espagne aussi longtemps qu'il aient des fêtes populaires.

I’m writing to you with the kind but urgent demand to forbid the cruel “fiesta” that the town Algemesí, Valencia, planned on September 22.

Being the president of a European country in 2007, you shouldn’t allow this “spectacle” of extreme sadism towards innocent animals in your country. How can you watch baby calves being chased down the streets while the mob stabs them with 6 to 8 cm spears? Witnesses say it is truly heart wrenching to hear their pitiful screams while they get tortured and try hopelessly to hide from the spears. Don’t you hear their cries? When they are too tired and bleeding on the ground they are finished off with an 80 cm sword, stabbed up to 40 times. Do you want to be responsible for the suffering of baby animals?

People voted for you, so I assume that you care for people. Please set an example and show the rest of the world that the Spanish are caring people. Because when we watch your “fiesta’s” on television, we’re convinced that all Spanish are extremely cruel and still live in the Dark Ages.

Please don’t tell me that it’s tradition. Burning “witches” was a tradition, child labor used to be a tradition. But we grew above these traditions.

Please show that you care for helpless calves and save their lives.
